the webmistress
This site is owned & run proudly by a Cambodian, 18 year old college girl going by the name of chanda. ;D Her experience with TCGs is relatively impressive; she has been a member of many & staffed for a couple. She first had the urge to run her own listing after staffing for one called, "Keeping Active." She felt restricted working under somebody else, and so took the initiative to find a host. ♥ The idea for the exchange came shortly after.

The awards were fun while they lasted, but are currently on hold until chanda either 1.) finds time or 2.) finds someone else to run them. :T

Why, you're at TCG Addict, of course! It's pretty easy to figure out how the site got its name. XD I was am addicted to TCGs, & in a way, opening this site was a way to make myself more involved in its world. I refer to this site as a "listing, exchange, & awards site" because those are its main characteristics. If you don't understsand any of these terms, let me explain them to you~!

A listing is a site that .. well, lists other sites. Think of it as a phonebook .. for TCGs♥! You'll know what I mean after a quick perusal of that part of the site. :3

An exchange is a very useful script that allows TCG owners to advertise their TCG simply by applying for it. It works like this: they stick the script on their page, and different buttons rotate through it. Because everyone has done this, the script is located on many different pages! The buttons are the owners' way of advertising & appealing to people who don't yet know about their TCG. ^_^ It might sound complicated, but it really isn't. XD

Awards are pretty easy to understand. :P For this site, it was supposed to be an event that was held every couple of months, where TCGs could compete for different awards (most creative, best updates, etc.). Members held the power in that they were the ones who voted (whether or not they were a member of that TCG), and participating TCGs were not allowed to bribe their members to vote for them. :O

All in all, it was a really fun thing for me, but it only lasted one month. :| Now that I am in college, I no longer have the time to run something as intense as an Awards ceremony. ;o; If you're interested, please contact me! Keep in mind I won't just hand over the Awards to anybody off of the street, though. ^_^;; Flash your credentials! :3
the web material
TCG stands for Trading Card Game. Unlike the ones that are played in real life, playing an online TCG is completely free. However, they can cost you hours upon hours of dedication~! :O You don't know what I'm talking about until you actually are a part of one. XD

We do not collect cards to battle, rather, we collect cards for the sake of .. well, pleasing ourselves --to show we are a fan of whatever deck we're seeking. For instance, say there was an cheesecake deck. I absolutely love cheesecake! I'm going to break my back over trying to master that deck; that is, collecting all of the cards that are a part of the deck.

That is an example of a TCG at its simplest level. TCGs have become more complex over the years; oftentimes, TCG owners & their staff will host other activities for their members to participate in, such as scavenger hunts, competitions, seasonal events, etc. Every TCG is different, but they will try & appeal to your hobbies to have you join .. so in the end, it all comes down to keeping the member (you!) happy & active. ^_^
